Trivedi Harsh, Yadav Aman and Tomar Vivan of Electrical Department, Gandhinagar Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar University achieved Devang Mehta IT Award and Certificate of Excellence on 12/08/2022 for being Top Rankers in the class. Dewang Mehta IT awards are felicitated by Dewang Mehta Foundation Trust to the Toppers of the Institute for their excellent performance in academics throughout the year. The Dewang Mehta Memorial lecture is given to the winners by Shri Harsh Mingle. Then after a talk show was arranged with Shri Harish Mehta – The Author of ‘The Maverick Effect’. This Award motivates the students to perform well in studies and focus on good results.

Gyanendra Yadav, Deepsinh Dabhi, Jignesh Mishra, Mayur Patil of Electrical Department, Gandhinagar Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar University got SSIP fund under the guidance
of Prof Hitesh Manani for their innovation on Electric Wheelchair in Feb 2020 in GIT. There have been many inventions done for the betterment of physically challenged people in the world but still in many areas they face different problems regarding physical movements in their day to day life. Taking this thing into mechanism which will convert a normal wheel chair into electric wheel chair. This is basically a separate and economic mechanism that can be collaborated with the existing system which make sure that physically challenged people don’t rely on conventional system. This wheelchair runs on a battery. The main advantage of this wheelchair is its compact design, simplicity, easy to carry and ecofriendly.

Shah Raj and Choksi Abhishek of Electrical Department, Gandhinagar Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar University got appreciation from CM Vijay Rupani, Gujrat at 3 day Startup-tech Summit at Science City, Ahmedabad on 12/12/2019.

Choksi Abhishek, Desai Himal, Shah Raj and Vohra Adnan of Electrical Department, Gandhinagar Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar University got selected to showcase their SSIP funded project (RAAH-Electric Vehicle) at Virant Gujarat 2019 at Vibrant Gujarat Gandhinagar in Jan 2019. To offset the disadvantages of electric vehicles regarding range, weight and charging time, efforts have to be made to orient the use of electric vehicles to niche situations and niche markets where these limitations can be leveraged by design. They have created a non-polluting vehicle under the guidance of Prof. Hitesh Manani. This vehicle runs on a battery. The main advantage of this vehicle is its compact design, simplicity, easy to carry and eco-friendly. This is actually a great initiative to limit the vehicular pollution as well as to fight against climate change.
